Dead Tank Releases

We have an in-house label called Dead Tank.  Since releasing records can sort of cost a lot of money sometimes, we thought having a little page dedicated to the label is important.  Plus we really love these bands.

Here are a listing of current and past Dead Tank releases, in order from newest to oldest.  These prices are postage paid in the United States.  Any release in bold are available for mailorder.  Scroll down for release descriptions.

Defiance Ohio / Environmental Youth Crunch split 7″ – $4

Born to be sharing some wax, these 2 bands hop skip and jump along with some rocking folk punk! Songs addressing beer, record collecting, fortunate sons and more. Full of everything great you’ve come to expect from both these bands!

Merkit / Demian split 7″ – $4

Merkit is from Ft. Myers FL. Three new songs on here by them, one of which is a fun-filled tribute to the D-Beat formula, plus two other hc/punk tunes and big song explanations and an insert explaining why the whole globalization thing is for the birds. Demian hails from Brazil and shares this slab with 6 songs of killer hc with hints of thrash and grind and even some speed metal style picking, all held together with some nasty female vocals and good commentary in the lyrics. The insert has lyrics and song explanations in English and Spanish. There are 500 pressed w/ hand screened covers using recycled paper.

I Object / FxPxO split 7″ – $4

With their full length on Alternative Tentacles on the horizon and a collection CD under their belt, IO give three new tracks of female fronted fast pissed hardcore punk. FPO is from Macedonia and play straightedge fastcore. Both sides rip all the way through.

Gomek “What The Hell Happened?” 7″ – $4
Orlando rippers, female vocals, giant alligators, fucks it up with crazed Florida hardcore thrash and great lyrics. Takes an Infest / Relics shovel to the face of Orchid. Pissed!

Environmental Youth Crunch “Let’s Ride” LP – $9
After 2 CDeps and a split 7″ – finally a full length! Full on eco mindedly rocking out, EYC took the ride over to Europe recently with this LP. For friends of Plan-it-X, long walks on beaches – and just.. for friends!

Pink Razors / Environmental Youth Crunch 10″ – $8

The Pink Razors are here!! Pop-punk is back and it’s pissed off about what you did to it. You gave it away sheepishly, embarrassed almost, as if it was some phase to leave behind. You sold it to every idiot who thought he could make some money off it, and what did we get? 10,000 shitty bands who took the “punk” out of it. 10,000 terrible melodies in songs that are too long, emo-crossovers, styled-out fakers, auto-tuned vocals, Boys of Summer covers, ironic metal covers, singing about lost love as if they’re onto something. And who stepped up to the plate? Anarcho-crust bands trying to show their soft side? Amplified campfire songs? I’m embarrassed too, embarrassed that I have to warn people we’re a pop-punk band. Hell, Blink-182 is embarrassed. Let’s be honest, there hasn’t been a time or a place for this band until now. Environmental Youth Crunch – oh dang! Eco-friendly pop punk the likes of Plan-It-X records. Infectious songs by these St Augustine Fl natives, scratching that Creedance itch. They love swimming too!

Railsplitter “860 Some Odd lbs” LP – $9

Southern sludge from Plant City FL, reminding all Floridians that they live in a giant swamp.  Riding stolen motorcycles across ravaged countrysides is a weekend activity for these guys.  Ex-members of Dragbody and Mid-Carson July. This LP has a beautiful hand screened cover.

Fiya “Make Joy, Make Strength” CD – $8

Passionate, political hardcore punk from Gainesville FL. Beautiful, energized and idealist lyrics. Musically similar to old DC hardcore, belting out sporatic and intricate guitar work.  The musically harsher cousin of Yaphet Kotto – mining a rich vein of hardcore previously attacked by True North, Books Lie, Former Members of Alfonsin, and Light The Fuse and Run.  Musically all about high energy pace, urgently shouted vocals and easy to follow melodies. Lyrically, Fiya conjure a political prowess all their own, inducing themes both universal and personal.

  1. Hi there, I’d really love to get hold of the tracks from The South’s lp. Obviously, this is way out of print but I’ve been recommended it by lots of people so have been frantically trying to track te music down from various sources. Any help to anywhere I might be able to buy the music online would be awesome.

    Many thanks,

    Tom
